Synopsis

A cameraman and a sound man arrive in 2007 on Corvo Island, the smallest in the Azores archipelago. In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, Corvo is a high rock 6km long and 4km wide, with a volcano crater and a single tiny village of 440 people.

Gradually the film crew is accepted as inhabitants, two more people to add to a civilization almost 500 years old but with few records and written memory.

With a vertiginous shooting of several years, made in self-production, between comings, goings and returns, "It's on Earth not on the Moon" is written as a logbook and is built as a mosaic of discoveries, which accompany the contemporary life of an isolated civilization in the middle of the sea.

A long Atlantic film, divided into 15 chapters, which combine anthropological records, literature, archives, mythological and autobiographical stories.
