The residency that came to Faial as a result of the training “If these streets were ours” led by the artist as part of the ACADEMIA HUMANA (AH!), an itinerant capacity-building program for the Ponta Delgada-Azores 2027 candidacy, where Lívia worked with young people on the creation of artifacts, learning labs, melodies and narratives that celebrate the culture of Carnival and the work of Natália Correia.
During her creative residency in Capelo, the artist focused on creating a multimedia platform "Parc d'Inventions" that brought together all the work she has done with young people during the training she has conducted over the past 20 years in various countries. Lívia, who travels all over the world, from South America to Europe to China, has created a teaching methodology and a way to promote artistic activities for young people, which she now makes available on a digital platform. The artist, who prioritizes freedom of creation and thought in young audiences, uses her experience as a carnival artist to create artifacts and narratives as a means of learning and personal development for children.
Lívia Diniz (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). She attended Film and Fine Arts schools in Rio de Janeiro, where she co-directed 13 carnival parades, along with her extensive experiences that took place in different locations and formats over 12 years. Transmedia experiences, design/architecture workshops, music videos, exhibitions. Over the last 20 years, she has been involved in artistic productions and research in 17 countries with festivals, networks, indigenous villages, favelas, schools, universities, theaters, artistic and activist projects, museums, residencies, creative spaces, research and cultural centers, and planetariums.
